Montreal
This blog is dedicated to my students who wanted to know more about Montreal.
Montreal is a 360 years old city.
It is the second largest French speaking city in the world.
The architecture is mostly of European influence.
Here is the city hall.
This is a view of the old montreal. It used to be where the lower class of society lived. The richer people were living on the mountain.
Now, it is one of the most expensive neighbourhood in North America.
This is the world renowned Saint-Joseph oratory. It is said that brother Andree made miracles there.
Many pilgrims from around the world come to go up the stairs on their knees.
This is a typical Montreal house. A lot of the houses in the city are more 100 years old.
Montreal is a multi-cultural city. Because, Canada is a land of immigrant, It is very easy to get by even if you don't speak French or English. If you don't speak those language, I would suggest that you contact the local association of the country that you come from, it will make your life a lot easier.
There are people from everywhere in the world in Montreal, witch bring with them fascinating cultures and food.
I can guarantee you that, What ever you are looking for, Italian,Greek,Chinese,French food , you will find it here.
Sometimes you feel like you are not in Montreal but rather......

Ha ha ha. Montreal has a huge Chinese garden.
Even a.....Lantern festival.
And an international fireworks competition.
Be careful Montreal can be very cold in the winter. The weather can go as low as -30c. But don't worry , there are still many thing to do.
Like ice skating or....
Dog sleighing...And even.....
Sight seeing.
Montreal is also, the jazz festival, the F1 grand prix.
Long walks along the Canal Lachine.
And a lots more.1976 Olympic stadium.
