True story
Yesterday in Kaoshung Taiwan.
A veterinarian was attending to a crocodile when it suddenly grabbed it's arm and ripped a part at the shoulder.
The following is completely unbelievable.
The zoo keepers called emergency service. They arrived 10 minutes later to stabilize the patient. They rushed him to the hospital. At that point nobody cared about the arm.
At the hospital the doctors asked where was the arm?
The rescuers said it was still in the mouth of the crocodile.

The doctors said to go and get it.
The rescuers went back to the zoo and tried to figure out a way to get the arm back from the croc.
The zoo keepers then tried to put the croc a sleep with tranquiliser darts.
It didn't work. So they asked the cops to shout it.
The chosen cop was so nervous (he had never shot is gun on anything but targets) that you could see him on TV smoking a cigarette.
When he got to the croc, weapon drawn, his fellow cops tried to help him get trough it by shouting his name.

Two shots later the croc appeared to be dead.
A zoo keeper got inside the tank and then you could see him running out with the arm in his hand.
The rescuers then rushed it to the hospital. The doctors were able to re-attached it to the patient.
He is going to be ok and the arm should work at 80% capacity.
On the other side, some people were not happy that the cops shot and killed a croc. You know animal protection and so on.
When the zoo keepers went inside to attend to the croc they had a huge surprise.
The croc was not dead. They looked for bullet holes or blood but they didn't see any.
It seems that the bullets have ricocheted on the croc and it stunned it.
The story ends up very well.
The patient got his arm back.
The nervous cop who had so much pressure on him, got the arm back and didn't kill the the croc.
The croc is alive and thriving.
Animal protection is happy.
And we got to watch it on live TV.
Only in Taiwan.
