I just found some pics from Hewan san that I took two years ago.
Snow in Taiwan, only on the highest mountains in Taiwan.(3416 meters)
Here we are the base of the mountain.
Take some time to feed the dinner. (Just a joke don't call the police).
In the background you can see a TV truck because here people come and camp on the mountain(sleep in cars) for days to see the first snow of the year.
You already know that the scooter is the first mode of transportation here, it is quite special to see young adultes drive and fall of they're scooter on the iced road only wearing slippers.
I never found a record saying how many frozen toes get amputated every year but I would be curious to know.
I think that my wife and I will go again this year. I miss the snow. It's only a 6 hours drive in the mountain on a iced, very little and narrow road berraly sitting on tops of cliffs that go down 1000 meters filled with tour bus.
