Last weekend I made a dinner party at home with my friends. A nice dinner with among other things, a Bearnaise sauce for my meat.

Today when I got home, my wife who really liked the sauce, told me that it would be a shame to throw it out.   (That is the signal that she really liked it and I should come up with an idea fast to make a meal with it for her.)

If you want my opinion she watches to much of "chef Gordon Ramsay" on TV. She has been making me cook everything he does for the past 2 months.
If you don't know who is Gordon Ramsay clik here.

If you don't know what is a Bearnaise sauce go to this link.

So I am on a Tuesday with a contract to cook food good enough for the sauce.

Here is how it went.

A filet of pork bathed in Dijon mustard with herbs.

Roasted Chicken legs caramelized in a Thai sauce.

And Her all time favorite, Roasted potatoes in the oven.

Don't forget the Bearnaise.

Here is the result (for having 1 cup of Bearnaise in the fridge).

The best part?? I have enough potatoes to keep her stomach happy for the next 2 days. Ha ha ha

If you want the recipes let me know it will be my pleasure to share.

PS-  This is a secret don't tell anyone. Here is the reason why my potatoes are so good. I cook them with chicken. Even if I don' want to eat chicken, I throw a piece of it in. The fat that come out of it changes everything. + onions+ salt and pepper+ paprika.

You can do all of this in 40 minutes preparation and cooking time included.

Since my first article on the web 2.0 I have taken a serious look at my reading habits and at witch blogs/forums I was participating in.

I was not impressed with my reading habits. I will not post the names of these places.

I have come to realise that all these blogs that were supposed to be places to debate were in fact a space for people to get anger out of their systems.

A perpetual fight.
I have been going over the blogs entries from the participants (including myself). I thought I would find some kind of resolution over differences of opinions but I didn't.

All I found, was people trying to convince others that they are wrong and they should change to their views to theirs.

If you want to make a test? Go to a techno website and write "Windows, mac or linux" Don't even write a text. Just post like that and see what happens.

Of course some people are nice and willing to help but in 95% of the entries I looked at, it was only fighting.

So, here I am. I have cancelled my accounts in most of the forums and blogs where I used to go.

I do not wish to live my life thinking of what I will answer to a guy on the web because he trolled me at one point.

I will focus more on my texts and my videos I post for my family and you who read me in silence. After all, my blog is just my life's album of what I do and I like.

PS- I am referring to the commercial blogs. I don't encounter this problems with personal blogs like mine. Maybe, because in our personal life we have enough respect to respect people's personal space on the web.

Merci a Karla et Annso AKA pour leurs beaux blogs qui me rappel de garder ca simple.

PS- If you have any ideas for me to make a video in Taiwan, please let me know. I am out of inspiration.
You can do it.
You must want to see something else than race cars and bikes.
Ha ha ha

See you later.

Thanks to you from there for reading me.

PS- You are over 400 to read me everyday. It would be nice to hear from you once in a while.

Continue Web 2.0 Continue Web 2.0 After yesterday's text about the web 2.0 I went into reflexion.

Instead of giving up I came with an idea.

Why not start my own platform and give it the orientation that I wish.

So I have created a new website with a forum free of trolls an politics.
This new website has been created for people around the world who wish to share ideas, passions, pictures/ videos about any subjects (except politics).

This blog will stay open for more intimacy but I invite you to join the new forum and participate.

On the website, just go to forum and create a new subject and there you are.

If you would like to create a new category or a corner for you and your stuff, just let me know.

The website is still in his infancy but with your help, it will grow.

The international forum

I have been following a few blogs for the past 2 years. I am now asking myself why?

I used to think that the web 2.0 was a great place to share info and different ideas, but now I see more and more trolls lurking over blog just to bring hell.

For example. On one of the blogs I go to (that talks about cars) is now invaded with Ayatollahs of environment. I have nothing against environment. I even recycle my food to feed animals. But what do you think happens when guys who like cars and racing are confronted with a guy who thinks that even using a dog sleigh to travel is not good because of the dog shit that will result from it.
What happens is that, the blog is not talking about cars anymore but is now a perpetual fight over two incompatible subjects.

An other one I go to used to be about technos.
Now, as soon as a new entry is made, a war starts about Mac and PC. Windows VS Freeware.
Of course there are still high quality comments, people that wish to share info's and help other users with technical problems but it is getting harder to find it in this wave of insults over OS and Machines.

You now have a new category of professional bloggers that in the name of celebrity and money will throw out controversial subjects without research or knowledge.
Example: China, good or bad? Muslims good or bad.? Olympics should we boycott?

They know that they will get thousands of hits and comments. My question. What do you hope to accomplish throwing subjects like that when you know that there is no resolution possible?
I asked this question to one of the bloggers. He answered me: "I want to know how the people feel." I asked why? to do what? I got no answers to this day.

Maybe I am out of phase with the world?

I have re centered my reading on people that write little blogs like mine, sharing life experiences, daily life and whatever goes through their minds.

Perhaps, I need to take a step back from all of it.

I even thought of closing this blog. But I will give it more time and reflexions.

Last weekend I was supposed to go shoot a race at the race track, I didn't.

In the past weeks, I got very busy and last weekend I felt like I was not enjoying myself anymore. You know when you do stuff that you enjoy doing but for the wrong reasons?

So, on Sunday I stayed home with the wife and did some gardening. Lunch on the deck, listening to new music albums, transplanting all the plants and trees in new pots, giving them food for the summer season.

Next weekend I will go have a game of paintball. I will probably try to make a little video of it. (If I feel like it.)
I also have a wedding to attend to. One of the teachers at my school is getting married.
